Art

Students participating in our Art Class will be graded on the following scale: E, S, G, N.  They will have an opportunity to learn various aspects of art.  Our Art Class supplements the Art PACE Electives.  Students in K-12 have an opportunity to participate in Art Class.


Music

Those students in grades 9-12 who wish to receive high school credit for music can participate in one of the following:  Handbell Choir or Choir.  They will receive percent grades figured on overall academic average based upon designated criteria as outlined in each activities description.  All other students will receive a performance rating, which will not be considered for credit or overall average.  Continued participation in these activities will be based on acceptable grades.  In addition, any student who wishes to sing in the FCCA Choir could have their participation be considered for academic credit up to ¼ credit per year at the teacher’s discretion.

Choir

Our FCCA Choir are made up of students from grades 4-12. This group is designed to teach the fundamentals of singing and to prepare the students for our annual Christmas Program. The objectives for this course are as follows:

  1. Learn about music
  2. Learn how to sing
  3. To perform if instructor feels they are ready.

Choir members may also have opportunities to minister at various venues such as nursing homes and holiday concerts.

Handbell Choir

Our FCCA Handbell Choir is made up of junior high and high school students.  This group is designed to teach the fundamentals of hand bell ringing.  Members are required to attend rehearsals during school and to perform as scheduled.

Through the years, our FCCA has successfully medaled at the A.C.E. Regional and International Conventions. In the past, our award winning handbell choir has traveled and ministered in a variety of settings such as churches, nursing homes, weddings, parades, the local mall during the holidays, and other community and special functions. Our Handbell Choir is a ministry team with a vision to bless others through music. These students attend the Regional Conventions as well as other functions deemed appropriate. 

Piano

Our students also have the opportunity to take piano lessons during the school day.  Rates for lessons are determined by the piano instructor.
