FCCA offers 2 Homeschool Options for parents
who choose to homeschool their children.
Option #1: A family homeschools their child utilizing the FCCA curriculum for all their subjects.
The cost of this option is $2,000.
-
FCCA utilizes the Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) curriculum. A.C.E. is a PACE system. In one school year, a student completes twelve PACEs in each subject. A.C.E. integrate Godly character-building lessons into the academic content. For additional information, visit the A.C.E. website – https://www.aceministries.com/. The curriculum provides each student with an individualized program. Our school has been utilizing this program for over 40 years.
-
Diagnostic testing is initially completed to determine what grade level a student is on for each subject. A complete grade-level A.C.E. curriculum is provided. Once enrolled, your child will become a Fairton Christian Center Academy “Warrior”. For the first two weeks, each homeschool student will attend FCCA with our full-time academy students to ensure successful use of the PACE system at home. Upon completion of each PACE, homeschool students take their tests at FCCA. Our skilled and caring teachers will grade the tests and offer constructive correction and educational support.
-
A Standardized Achievement Test will be given to each student every spring to measure his/her learning. We utilize the IOWA Standardized Assessment.
-
Chapel is held every Friday from 8:00am-9:00am. It is an integral part of the spiritual life of the school. It is mandatory for every FCCA student.
-
Homeschool students are invited to attend all school-program activities, field trips, socials, athletic opportunities, etc.
-
Your child is also eligible to compete along side our full-time students in an A.C.E. Regional Student Convention. Convention allows students to learn and grow in the various gifts and talents that God has given them (i.e., academic, athletic, arts, music, etc).
-
12th Graders receive a FCCA high school diploma. All records are kept at FCCA and transferred at request.
Option #2: Our second option is to complement your homeschool education by attending one or more classes from our Supplemental Support program.
The cost of this option depends on the program you select.
-
A family will utilize their own homeschool curriculum and have their child come to FCCA for a specific program (Academic, Fine Arts, Athletics).
-
This may include an academic subject like Math, Computers, or Spanish. The may include Fine Arts like Art, Music, or Hand Bells. Athletics include Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, and Cross Country. As a student, your child also has the opportunity to attend school events and activities.
